Safely Arriving

With flights leaving from Dulles, BWI, and DCA, we’ve had an exciting day of logistics and travels. Thanks to the efforts of Ms. Cuffee and our amazing guides from EF, two of the three flights are safely at the hotel in San Jose and the third is en route. Tonight we will eat dinner, meet our guides, learn about tomorrow’s adventures, and, with a little luck, sneak in a little pool time. 

Tomorrow, we have a 6:30 am breakfast (insert 127 eighth grader groans) before zipping through the hills to Arenal. Sadly, Volcàn Poas is too active for a visit tomorrow so we will instead enjoy a hike at the base of Arenal’s namesake volcano. It will be another day of travel, but with plenty of interesting stops, no customs lines, and a gorgeous destination, this will be our students’ first real taste of adventure.
